Why We Are Different...
The company was set up in 2007 by Andy Hallam with the aim of providing a tailored construction consultancy service focused on delivering real value to its Clients.
Operating with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity our team makes provision of a first class service a priority. We do not have a ‘one solution fits all’ approach and instead make sure we understand our Clients business in order to fulfil their requirements and achieve their key project goals.
The consultancy operates from offices on London Road in Leicester, which is well placed to access Leicester railway station and has quick connections to the M1/M69/M6. We work with Clients across the East and West Midlands. Many of our Clients also ask us to carry out projects nationwide.
We have extensive experience of the construction and property industry, having worked within various sectors for both private and public Clients. We have acted for Clients at all stages of the built asset life cycle from site finding/acquisition to management of the tendering and construction phases through to operation.
Our team has a structured and logical approach to service provision which is carried out in a common sense manner. By providing comprehensive and well executed services we believe our Clients will succeed and come back to Hallam Read for assistance on their next project. We strongly believe that the success of any project lies in the strength of the relationships we create with our Clients.
Our Directors have in-depth and varied project experience, working in both Contracting and Client organisations. Andy previously spent 20 years working as a Commercial Director leading teams for well respected contracting organisations on multi million pound developments. Rhys was previously employed on the Client side for 22 years, working for multi disciplinary consultancies directing teams on complex projects.
We believe this mix of Contractor and Client side experience gives us a balanced and well rounded approach to the industry offering a real world approach.

Andy is a committed and respected professional with a drive to maximise opportunity and exceed Client expectations.
A highly experienced manager, having previously managed a business turnover of £30 million.
An enthusiastic individual, with excellent communication and leadership skills. Andy is proactive and a problem solver.
Andy previously worked for several top twenty commercial main contractors completing multi million pound projects.
Andy was a commercial director directly responsible for turnover and profit whilst leading a team of 15 professionals.

Rhys is a commercially focused cost and project manager. His approach is to work in a partnership way with the whole design team in order to achieve excellent results for Clients.
Rhys previously lead consultant teams delivering projects throughout the UK and Internationally. Projects range from £500k to £1/2 billion.
A proactive team member who aims to resolve issues efficiently and maintain sight of key Client objectives at all times.
Rhys previously worked for Client side consultant organisations working within multi disciplinary teams and taking the lead in many large projects.
Rhys was a company director with responsibility for sector turnover and profit in several businesses.

Will is a competent and hardworking individual who has a common sense approach to cost and project management duties.
A team player, Will is a real asset to Hallam Read and his development is a priority for the Directors of the business.
Will’s project experience includes working on city centre and out of town commercial developments.
Having just completed his part time degree in Quantity Surveying, graduating with a first, Will is now progressing his career within the business and will help drive it forward.

Peter has over 40 years experience within the construction industry. Peter is hard working and brings valuable skills to our team.
Peter’s project experience is extensive having worked in various sectors and with some high profile clients.
Peter previously worked for small and medium sized contractors as an estimator and quantity surveyor.
Following this Peter set up his own business focusing on CDM Co-ordinator, Clerk of Works and Estimating.
